SO MANY BLESSINGS!

Oh boy! This blog post is going to get exciting! Well, let's begin with the big news of the month :D A couple weeks ago, Scott had the opportunity to interview for a rigging and staging technician position in the BYU Idaho Center up on campus. To start this story out, this is the second interview he's had here, and the fourth job we've applied for. His whole life, Scott has really felt guided and led in his career choices. He has had many opportunities (including serving a mission around a bunch of sound and production people in CA) to develop his talents. Our dream has been for him to get a job here on campus serving the Lord while doing his job. So anyway, he got an interview! We were super excited and very hopeful. The next day, we got a call inviting Scott back for a second interview in just three days, and they had already narrowed it down to two candidates. He was going to have an interview in the morning with (are you ready for this?) his boss' boss' boss' boss and then a luncheon with his boss' boss, his boss' boss' boss, his boss' boss'boss', and the second candidate. I thought that was super weird...who wants to meet the guy that he has to beat out? Anyways, that interview went really well, we felt.

It took those people up there over a week to get back to us! But finally, we got a call from Jon (his new boss, whom I really really like) calling him up to a meeting. I went with and sat in the car. I knew the minute he walked out the doors with a big grin on his face and a thumbs up that we had done it! We have a job! The next Thursday was orientation and we got to hear all about our new insurance and benefits and the responsibilities that Scott would have as well as two hours of paper work. While explaining our insurance, the woman was talking about accidental death and dismemberment and she said, "you have one of the only jobs on campus where I can see this being a problem..." And they hired her in Human Resources?

So anyway, thank you all for your prayers. We have felt the hand of God in this greatly and look forward to all that we have to learn and experience while we work at this campus while it grows, grows, grows!

Another fun thing that we did in the last couple weeks was plant our little garden! We tilled it on Monday (not knowing that in just a couple of days our manager was going to do it with a machine lol) in the hail. That's right...hail. And rain. And wind. So we decided to wait until Wednesday to plant :D

We also got to take our first outdoor camping trip! Friday was really nice, and Scott didn't have to work Saturday so we took off! Okay, so the campground is only five minutes from our house, but it's great! Best kept secret in Rexburg :D

Justin and Lexi roasting a mallow. It was so cute! When the mallow was done, Justin handed it to Lexi and said, "okay, it's ready to eat!" And Lexi just looked at him with this weird look and said, "Why?" Apparently, she just thought that we were doing recreational roasting haha
My husband built that fire using only the cardboard from our cereal boxes and a lighter. If he were a "real man," (according to Uncle D) he wouldn't even need the cardboard...but if I recall, Dallas, you ended up using the newspaper... :P

Well, those were the events of the month! Oh! And baby girl Carter is getting so big! She's kicking and moving like crazy! The other day we were watching her move my whole tummy. She hiccups almost daily and LOVES summersaults, as well as crowding into the corner of mommy's tummy while she's sleeping, making it very uncomfy. She's funny. I'll be laying on my side, and I can literally feel her cuddled up on one side of me! Again, already blessing our lives so much! Oh! And today I got to buy my first maternity dress, as all of mine are getting a little (okay, a lot) snug. She's a-growin'!
